Tracker to deploy FITAS accreditation programme for installation network

Tracker is to roll out the FITAS accreditation programme for vehicle engineers across its nationwide network in a move to create a major new quality benchmark in the field of installer training.

All 250 independent TRACKER product installers will be required to enrol and train under FITAS.

Over the course of the next six months, all 250 independent installers will be required to enrol and train under FITAS in a move intended to enhance customer peace of mind.

The commitment comes as a result of a strong partnership between Tracker and the Federation of Communication Services, which owns and administers the FITAS scheme on behalf of the industry.

Already FCS technical authors have revised and updated Tracker’s installation training programme, which will now be delivered alongside the FITAS practical skills and vehicle electronics modules, to standards moderated by the Institute of the Motor Industry, the skills council for the automotive sector.

James Moore, head of service & operations for Tracker, said: “We are constantly reviewing our proposition to ensure it remains the best in the market. This applies to our customer service levels, just as much as it does to the award-winning technology behind our SVR solutions. With this in mind, we have worked closely with the Federation of Communication Services to ensure our installers deliver the very best assurance to those individuals and businesses that have invested in Tracker to protect their assets.”
