Toyota Auris gains new entry-level model for 2011 model year

By / 13 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The three and five-door Auris Edition models replace the previous T2 and are available at the same OTR prices but with increased specification. Standard kit includes 16-inch alloy wheels, heated and colour-keyed doorhandles and retractable door mirrors.

Both versions are powered by the Toyota Optimal Drive 1.33-litre VVT-i petrol engine, with Stop & Start and six-speed manual transmission. This delivers official 48.7mpg combined cycle fuel consumption and 135g/km CO2 emissions.

Toyota has also added extra kit to the next trim up, the Auris TR, which is newly equipped with rear parking sensors, Bluetooth with voice control and – on the 1.6 Valvematic – cruise control. There's a sporty interior trim and new five-spoke 16-inch alloys too.

The top-level trim, the Auris SR, also adopts cruise control and Bluetooth as standard for 2011. This model is offered exclusively as a five-door with the 1.6 Valvematic engine and six-speed manual transmission.

The 2011 Toyota Auris range is on sale from 1 May, with OTR prices starting from £15,225.
