SEAT reports best Q1 fleet results

Continued growth in the true fleet channel helped SEAT UK Fleet secure its best quarter one results to date. True fleet sales for the first three months of the year rose 86% compared to the same period in 2016, helping to increase overall fleet sales in Q1 by 32%. The overall growth comes despite a planned 45% reduction in rental volume.

True fleet sales were driven by SEAT’s new Ateca SUV as well as the new Leon and Ibiza, which is available for exclusive first UK fleet test drives at this year’s Fleet Show.

One in six drivers think running a red light is legal

A large number of drivers are risking penalty points on their licence by potentially dangerous behaviour behind the wheel.

Research by insurer Admiral has found one in six drivers believe it’s legal to run through a red light with the same number also taking their eyes off the road to adjust the radio. One in 10 said they have also checked their phone while driving while one in seven have drunk non-alcoholic beverages or eaten at the wheel in the past month.
