SEAT has appointed Sam Hothi as rental & motability manager.

The appointment sees Hothi move from his former role of area sales manager and will become responsible for overseeing sales to rental partners and Motability scheme.

Hothi, who will report to head of fleet and business sales, Peter McDonald, will also oversee the extended four-day test drive scheme’s fleet of vehicles.

He brings broad experience in the fleet sector to the team, specifically in sales and planning, having previously worked at Motability Operations.

Hothi commented: “This is a genuinely exciting time to be part of the SEAT brand. Its products are hitting the mark, and we are receiving strong feedback from existing customers as well as feverish interest in new models.

“I am looking forward to implementing our rental and Motability strategy, while improving service levels even further – we are constantly striving to refine our service.”

His appointment follows the recent recruitment of Justin Costello as national fleet sales manager at SEAT and comes as the carmaker reports growth of 32% in fleet overall in Q1, led by an 86% rise in true fleet sales.
