OLEV funds 39-strong Siemens rapid charge network

By / 9 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Funded by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), the network comprises 20 Siemens QC45 units in South Tyneside and 19 in Dorset, each compatible with the CHAdeMO DC, Type 2 AC and Combined Charging Standard DC ports used by almost all electric vehicle manufacturers.

The units have a three year maintenance support package from Siemens, and will be installed early in 2015, alongside a number of other similar schemes nationwide.

Siemens also has contracts to install rapid chargers in Gloucester, Bristol, the Cotswolds and the Scottish border next year.
