Nexus rental reservation trends show Friday is still "wind-down" day

By / 13 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The Nexus team examined its IRIS web-based paperless rental management system to analyse booking patterns by the hour and day and found that typically reservations through IRIS tail off every day between 13.00 and 14.00. However, rather than fitting in with the pattern for the rest of the week, the Nexus data for Fridays seems to suggest that corporate Britain goes to lunch 12 minutes earlier and comes back 11 minutes later. Plus, on Fridays, bookings decline rapidly from 16.20. On all other days of the week, the reservations continue strongly until around 17.20.

'It seems that Friday remains a "wind down" day for businesses, despite the economic challenges we’re all currently facing,' said Neil McCrossan, CEO, Nexus. 'And we would certainly argue that the fact our business customers are able to take a longer lunch and finish earlier on a Friday is because our IRIS reservation tool makes their lives easier, more efficient and saves them time.'
