The deal sees the LTA move its total fleet of 50 contract hire vehicles to Arval. In addition to this, the LTA has also agreed to take accident management, daily rental and minilease - including the provision of prestige vehicles for high-profile events such as the AEGON Championships at Queen’s and home Davis Cup ties.

As part of the negotiations Arval was tasked with introducing potential manufacturer partners to the LTA that fits both their needs and their reputation.

Following a comprehensive analysis of the whole-life costs of a range of vehicle options and taking a Total Cost of Operations approach, Arval is replacing the LTA fleet with an initial order of 40 BMW 1 Series models this month with additional vehicles expected by the end of the year. All of the vehicles are being supplied by dealership Dick Lovett BMW, one of Arval’s preferred suppliers.

Diane Smith, HR manager at the Lawn Tennis Association, commented: 'We are delighted to have made Arval the sole supplier for our vehicle fleet which will see us moving to more efficient vehicles and also provide better services to the LTA from a fleet management perspective. The added benefit being that working with Arval further strengthens our relationship between the LTA and BNP Paribas Group, who have a long-standing heritage in supporting tennis globally.'
