cee'd EcoDynamics SW ticks all the boxes
The contract forms part of Saacke Combustion Services' drive to have a greener service fleet and the vehicles will be used by its network of technicians who clock up the miles on a daily basis. The cee’d EcoDynamics are fitted with ISG (Intelligent Stop and Go) technology, automatically shutting the engine down when the car is at a standstill and in neutral, thereby reducing fuel consumption.
The contract has been secured by local specialist fleet dealer, Hendy Kia, which explained the importance of the ISG system to business users such as Saacke Combustion Services
Jamie Cook, business specialist at Hendy Kia, said: 'We know that waste gases from cars account for approximately 20 per cent of all global CO2 emissions. Introducing a cee’d ISG to a business will not only add value to environmental credentials, but it will make both short-term and long-terms cost savings, something all businesses are looking for, be they large or small.'
Phil Kemp, service manager at Saacke Combustion Services, commented: 'Our aim was to select an estate car that could deliver a solution to satisfy a number of key requirements. Not least, it had to have the functionality, reliability and space for our technicians to perform their job and as they spend a lot of time in the car, it had to offer good specification as well as a rewarding drive. We were also looking to minimise our carbon footprint, fuel consumption levels and reduce costs for the business – a tough challenge!
'We were really impressed with the attributes of the Kia cee’d SW and it ticked all of the boxes. The real clincher was the peace of mind offered by Kia’s 7-year warranty.'
