The vehicle management giant has appointed Matt Cranny as operations & service director with effect from 1 May 2010.

Mr Cranny previously held the role of service improvement director, with responsibility of customer satisfaction and service within the UK group. In his new role he will combine his expertise and focus on service improvement with the day-to-day operational side of the business – recognising the fundamental importance of customer service to success in fleet management.

He will work closely alongside Matt Dyer, commercial director at LeasePlan UK, and replaces Graham Rixon, who is stepping down from his role as operations director to pursue other interests outside the industry.

Commenting on his role, Mr Cranny said: 'Clearly I am thrilled to be taking on the role of operations director within LeasePlan UK and making my mark on customer service and operational efficiency within the business. It is an incredibly exciting time to be talking on this role, when operations and service are more important than ever before.

He added: 'I plan to apply my previous experience of customer satisfaction and service quality in the day-to-day operations role – further enhancing our service levels beyond our already market-leading position.'
