Network selects Leaselink for its entire fleet broker network

By / 7 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The technology, which enables firms to source and order new fleet vehicles electronically, significantly improving the overall efficiency of the process, is already used by parent LeasePlan UK for its fleet of 122,000 vehicles.

Following this, Network is funding the implementation of Leaselink across the complete franchisee operation from the South Coast to Southern Scotland.

Mike Thompson, Network account director, explained the rationale behind the decision to opt for Leaselink.

'Leaselink is completely in line with our desire to give our franchisees the means to make their business as efficient and cost effective as possible. It completely automates the sourcing and order process, providing a clear audit trail, and tracks orders through the system so that the user can see where an order is at any one time simply by pushing a button.

'Feedback to date has been extremely positive and, although it is still early days, we are confident that Leaselink will deliver savings in time and cost for our franchisees,' he added.

Research by Leaselink supplier, Oxford-based online solutions provider Ebbon-Dacs, has recently shown that the e-procurement platform delivers costs savings of 10-15% over old, traditional methods of sourcing and ordering vehicles.

Rob Pilkington, managing director of Leaselink International, said: 'E-procurement has been shown to deliver savings in vehicle acquisition costs straight to the bottom line, and we are confident that Network's brokers will see all of these benefits for themselves over time.'

Leaselink is currently being employed by 10 of the UK's 15 largest contract hire and leasing companies, which between them supply and manage over 590,000 company vehicles to source and buy their new vehicles.
