Located two miles from the M25, the Romford centre marks the 108th Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) centre opened by National Windscreens as part of its major UK-wide investment programme to meet the massive growth in demand for ADAS camera calibration following windscreen replacement.

ADAS technology now features in more than 10% of vehicles on the road and with many features operating in conjunction with cameras mounted on windscreens, this means that following a windscreen replacement, camera calibration is necessary to ensure the systems continue to operate as intended.

Mark Payne, the operations director responsible for the Romford fitting and calibration centre, said: “As this centre is so near to the M25, which carries some 200,000 vehicles a day, it is likely to be extremely busy. These new premises offer the space required to service this level of demand and to house the calibration equipment now required to complete this vital work according to manufacturer specifications in workshop conditions.”
