The company reports that a well-known vehicle exporter paid £51,000 for a Mercedes-Benz S350L that came to auction with expectations to deliver just over half the actual sale value, to achieve an anticipated CAP of just over 100%.

The vehicle was refurbished and sold at Jet Logistics in Stratford-upon-Avon, and attracted an incredible amount of interest with bids being received onsite and online from buyers in UK European markets.

Andy Conde, director of auction development at Wilsons Auctions, commented: 'In over 30 years of auctioneering I have never sold a car that achieves a CAP Clean of 184%. It is testament to the service that Wilsons Auctions and Jet Logistics provide that we can deliver such a return. The centralised service we provide is attractive to fleet vendors as they save on time and transport costs – they also appreciate we know our target market and attract the right calibre of buyer from this market and beyond. In short the combination of preparation, marketing and auction processes are delivering enhanced returns for vendors and whilst providing better product for buyers.'

Wilsons Auctions have been working in partnership with Jet Logistics at its 500-acre Long Marston site in Stratford-Upon-Avon since January this year and reports that the relationship is proving popular with trade vendors and buyers alike.
