All Manheim Group locations and special auctions at Manheim Auctions centres at Bristol, Colchester, Gloucester, Haydock, Leeds, Manchester, Mansfield, Rotherham and Wimbledon took part, including individual fundraising activities such as completing the New York Marathon and taking part in the 190-mile Coast-to-Coast walk.

The decision to support Air Ambulance was supported by the Manheim Employee Forum, following feedback from employees throughout Manheim.

The Air Ambulance charities that have benefited are Cornwall, Essex, Great North, Great Western, Lincolnshire and Notts, London, North West and Yorkshire.

John Bailey, Manheim chief executive, UK and Europe, said: 'I am proud to acknowledge that the decision to support Air Ambulance charities was an employee initiative.

'I wish to thank personally all employees for their efforts and enthusiasm in support of this great cause and also to thank the many vendors who contributed to the monies raised at the auction centres.

'As a helicopter pilot myself I understand and appreciate the challenges that helicopter crews face on a daily basis and am a great admirer of their work.'
