The auction, held this week, attracted more than 450 buyers, bidding on 720 cars available from vendors including ALD, Arval, FGA Contracts, Ford Credit, GMAC, Hitachi Capital, Lex Autolease, Lombard and Masterlease. The 196 buyers present in the dual lane auction hall were joined by a further 260 buyers who logged on via Simulcast, from as far afield as Cornwall and Scotland.

The facilities at Bruntingthorpe include a dedicated 56,000 sq.ft indoor auction centre combining both online and physical remarketing with undercover storage for 300 vehicles as well as comprehensive mechanical and bodywork repair facilities for major fleets, rental companies and manufacturers.

John Bailey, CEO, Manheim UK & Europe said: 'Manheim Auctions' activity got off to a flyer here at the beginning of last year and the recent £2 million investment, in partnership with Bruntingthorpe's owners C Walton Ltd., will further reinforce the reputations of both Bruntingthorpe and Manheim Remarketing in the years to come. The auction super-centre, the best in the Midlands, further enhances Manheim's capability and enables us to set new standards in vehicle remarketing.'

Fleet auctions at Bruntingthorpe take place at 10.30am every Wednesday and the new Monday fleet and dealer auction programme gets underway on 14 March with a centre for a day auction on behalf of Lex Autolease.

Bruntingthorpe is located just 10 minutes off J20 of the M1. More information is available at www.manheimremarketing.co.uk/bruntingthorpe
