Ms Van der Veer, a Dutch national, has a wealth of experience in the banking sector and a strong background in the financial services industry. With a career spanning 25 years, she previously served as chief executive officer of Currence Holding, has held the position of chairperson of the board of Staal Bankiers and served as a member of the Executive Board of Achmea Bank Holding. Since 2007, she has been an independent board advisor for strategy and corporate governance.

Her other current supervisory board memberships include positions at the Netherlands Public Broadcasting and at Alliander N.V. She is also an advisor to the National Register of Directors and Supervisors.

As a member of the supervisory board, Ms Van der Veer will join the Audit Committee and the Remuneration Committee. Her appointment has been approved by both the shareholders of LeasePlan Corporation NV and the Dutch Central Bank.
