The fleet will be made up of Renault Masters, converted by Sandbach-based Wilker for use on the HC-One fleet. Deliveries started with a minibus at the Windsor Court Care Home in Goole, and after the initial 30 vehicles Wilker will deliver 40 per month until the order is complete early in 2013.

Deployed across HC-One’s nationwide network of 240 care homes, they will be used to transport the company’s 10,000-plus residents for outings and hospital visits.

HC-One procurement liaison manager Debbie Carling, said: ‘HC-One aims to provide the kindest care and our new Renault fleet from JCT600 will help us to meet that vision. The minibuses will be used to transport residents on outings and activities and will greatly improve the quality of lives of so many people.’

JCT600 Contracts sales manager (North), Kate Thompson, said: ‘HC-One’s requirements were complex, they were understandably keen to ensure the specification delivered everything their residents may need and we have been working closely with many different suppliers and manufactures to provide the highest quality equipment, at the most competitive price.’
