Infiniti appoints new marketing director for Europe
Mr Diernaz is a sales and marketing specialist who joined Nissan Europe in 2005 as head of advertising and media in Europe. In 2007 he was promoted to general manager marketing communications in which role he defined Nissan’s vision in Europe. He began his career with Ford after graduating from ISG University in Paris.
'To be part of the team at Infiniti at this time is incredibly exciting,' said Mr Diernaz.
'The brand has made a solid start in Europeover the past 18 months, but now with the imminent launch of our diesel range and the M Line sedan arriving soon, the opportunity is there for Infiniti really to make its mark in Europe.
'Helping guide Infiniti to achieving the growth I know it is capable of is going to be challenging but very rewarding. I am looking forward to it immensely.'
Jean-Pierre Diernaz takes over in his new job immediately at Infiniti Europe’s headquarters building in Rolle, outside Geneva. He will have under his responsibility a large region including Europe, Russia and Middle East. He reports to Jim Wright, Vice President Infiniti AMIE (Africa, Middle East, India and Europe).
His predecessor, Bastien Schupp, is appointed country director Austria. Based in Vienna, he reports to Andreas Gabriel, managing director NCE.
