Hyundai Tucson gains 129g/km 1.7-litre diesel with seven-speed DCT
Hyundai’s Tucson compact SUV is now being offered with a fifth powertrain option, combining a high-powered 139bhp diesel with a seven-speed double clutch transmission (7DCT) and two-wheel drive.
Available to order now, the new powertrain employs the 7DCT to bring improved fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions compared to a six-speed automatic transmission – emitting 129g of CO2 and offering fuel consumption of 57.6mpg on a combined cycle.
It also features Hyundai’s Integrated Stop & Go (ISG) system as standard, which is also available for the 1.7-litre (114bhp), and the 2.0-litre 2WD (134bhp) diesel engines as well as the 1.6-litre petrol engine in the range.
The new powertrain is available across the Tucson range from SE trim and above, priced from £24,570 OTR.
