Greentomatoes offers WiFi in its fleet

By / 12 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

All of the firm’s 300-strong fleet of hybrids, people carriers and executive vehicles will be equipped with the free service, provided by Wireless Logic.

Greentomatocars’ founder, Jonny Goldstone said: 'London has long been recognised as a hub for technological innovation and it would be fair to say it’s now the free WiFi capital.

'You don’t have to work in the technology industry to see the importance of connectivity. With free in-car WiFi we are able to offer our customers the access they need to stay connected,' he added.

Greentomatocars was founded in 2006 with the aim of offering the most viable environmentally-friendly vehicles available. At the beginning of this year it added two Renault Fluence ZE electric vehicles to complement the existing fleet of hybrid and bio-fuel vehicles. It also operates Toyota’s plug-in Prius models.

The move comes just weeks after rival company Climatecars announced plans to expand its electric vehicle fleet and the recharging infrastructure.

Climatecars also runs a fleet of Fluence ZEs, as well as Prius hybrids.
