FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW: SEAT sharpens the Exeo
Though official figures have yet to be released, the manufacturer is predicting both 120 and 143bhp variants of the revised 2.0 TDI CR engine will drop below 129g/km, including ST models, offering large savings for fleet buyers.
Cars with a Multitronic gearbox (only available on the 143bhp engine) fall from 153 to 146g/km, while the 170bhp diesel will emit 142g/km instead of 148g/km.
The new Exeo has also had a subtle but complementary facelift, introducing optional bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, plus new wheels and revised upholstery.
A sub-120g/km Ecomotive model is also planned for later in the year, with start/stop technology for the first time in the Exeo, giving a competitive rival to eco-badged offerings from the D-segment’s biggest sellers.
