Focus on costs inspired growth in TMC Mileage Capture in 2009
The company’s growth was fired by firms wanting to control costs more proactively, it said.
Paul Jackson, managing director of TMC – which was previously known as The Miles Consultancy, said: ‘Our growth last year was fuelled by the rising cost pressures on fleets, which see that they can achieve substantial savings by making Mileage Capture their first line of defence against unnecessary mileage costs.
‘We charge customers a flat rate of only 99 pence per driver per month. This means that they see an immediate return on their investment in using Mileage Capture to enforce accurate reporting of miles covered and fuel used.’
TMC’s Mileage Capture system reports details of business journeys and overall mileage, in a bid to cut down on wasted miles and exaggerated claims.
It says it has reduced mileage-related claims costs of its customers by an average of 24.7%, by highlighting anomalies and inaccuracies in users’ reports, deterring drivers from reporting exaggerated mileages, fuel consumption or fuel prices in order to over-claim mileage expenses.
