Travellers are met in the station and then taken to their hire vehicle for a swift get-away. The St Pancras Station branch will also be open on Saturdays up to 1pm.

Ken McCall, managing director, Europcar UK, said: 'We already offer "Meet & Greet" at a number of key arrival points around the UK, including ports, airports and stations and we wanted to offer the same the convenience to travellers arriving at St Pancras, reflecting our focus on making car hire easy and convenient to use.'

The new product has been launched hard on the heels of the freeDeliver service, which provides free delivery and collection for rentals of two days or more, within a 15-mile radius of any of the rental firm's 200 branches.

McCall concluded: 'We are listening to our customers' constantly evolving needs in order to be able to continually offer services to make their lives easier.'
