Rebranded with immediate effect, the expanded business will be headed up by Tom O'Connor, formerly managing director of DigiCore in the UK.

Mr O'Connor said Ctrack will combine the strengths of DigiCore's commercial presence and established position in the corporate market together with Minorplanet's customer service and software competence in the UK SME market.

The merger of the two brands, the firm said, will provide the potential to create a significantly larger telematics platform in the UK and across Europe and create new opportunities.
