Tamworth-based Catering Academy has appointed Prestige Fleet Servicing to handle all the servicing, maintenance and repair work for its mixed fleet of 50 vehicles.

The company provides catering management services to a diverse clientele throughout the UK, and runs a three-tier company car fleet and around 10 small vans on contract hire agreements without maintenance.

Catering Academy appointed Prestige on the basis of its service centre network, which provided good geographical coverage, as well as the reporting provided by its Unity SMR management system.

Purchasing director Robert Smith explained: “The Unity system provides me with all the management information I need at a glance to check on the progress of all our vehicles having work carried out. And if there is an issue, we have a dedicated account manager to iron out any problems we may have.

“In the near three months that they have been working with us, we have been very happy. We have had a bad servicing experience in the past – now we believe we have a very good one,” he added.
