2012 CV Show gets go-ahead

By / 13 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The show will return to the NEC near Birmingham between Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 April 2012.

The 2011 show attracted over 16,000 visitors this year. 'This year's show exceeded expectations,' CV Show spokeswoman Kate Gibbs told VFWC. 'The stability of the haulage industry has always been a tremendous barometer for the rest of the economy, so it really was proof that things really are on the up,' she said.

2012 show goers can expect new ideas for the show too. 'We are thinking about a theme,' confirms Gibbs. 'Also, is there a way we can make the show a little more interactive? I think there are all sorts of avenues that we can go down that make it more appealing for the exhibitor and for the visitor. That's our key aim.'

The CV Show is a joint venture between the Road Haulage Association (RHA), Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and IRTE Services, the trading company of the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE). The CV Show has re-appointed Crystal Communications to manage the organisation of the event.

SOE chief executive, Nick Jones commented: 'Despite the weak economic conditions, the 2011 CV Show attracted an impressive display of exhibitors and an enthusiastic set of visitors.'

SMMT chief executive Paul Everitt added: 'The 2012 CV Show is set to build on the success of this year's event, attracting an even greater range of exhibitors and creating new business opportunities.'
